A Real Tent
The tent is a real tent, but where is the true wilderness?
Today, the development of civilization has led to rapid urbanization and the development of genuinely pristine habitats into modern settlements. At the same time, finding and experiencing the original desire has led people to rethink the definition of ecology in modern cities. What is the wilderness? The park? Garden? The park is built in the contemporary town of programmed wilderness. Is it genuinely pristine?
On the other hand, on the micro level, are fish tanks filled with all kinds of fish, seaweed, small rocks, and microorganisms truly pristine? The original ecology in people’s minds is early and has become a stylized, programmed, and human-made landscape. Programmed ecology is central to my concept. The tent is a critical visual element and visual metaphor.
When we’re in the middle of it, People always feel like they’re camping in the suburbs. So I used sounds from nature and daily life as well as the tent moving and shaking to enhance the experience; I wanted to make the tent all over every corner of the urban city, and It makes people think about how far away the real wilderness is from us.
