Wind is Rising 风将至
Wind is Rising is a multilayer generative sculpture that shapes and explores the perceptual, ecological, and geographical dimensions of wind. As a physical force and a complex network of relationships, the work redefines wind as a medium that transcends geography and history. This artwork reimagines this invisible element as an embodied object of motion, affect, and innovation.
In "Wind is Rising," the artist utilizes AI systems to trace wind across shifting latitudes, from the UK to China, translating its abstract nature into site-sensitive visual narratives. Through particle systems and topographic field modeling, the project reveals the diverse cultural and environmental articulations of wind, transforming invisible flows into a felt experience. Within an evolving pixel landscape, Wind is a co-author who spatially expresses its momentum, visualized, and its disruption embodied.
Each chapter constructs a unique encounter between people and dynamic currents of light, shadow, and algorithmic turbulence. It invites people to navigate turbulence, proposing a future in which environmental awareness, machine intelligence, and embodied perception merge as a continuous, generative medium.
Ultimately, the work situates people within a space that enables them to navigate time and speed.
